Betting: AFCON 2021 Day 7 (Group D) predictions

The Super Eagles got off to a flying start with a 1-0 win over Egypt on Tuesday. It was seen as the toughest job for the West African giants and they can now head into this clash against Sudan with confidence, knowing that another win will book them a spot in the round of 16. 

The Falcons of Jediane's Group B opener with Guinea-Bissau ended 0-0, making their qualification prospects very difficult. Difficult indeed, as they have lost eight of their previous 14 head-to-head meetings with Nigeria (W2 D4). 

Sudan have a very big problem scoring. They have now failed to do so in eight of the last 12 matches, all 12 games without a win (D5 L7). Six of their eight losses against the Super Eagles has also been to nil and this presents Augustine Eguavoen's men another opportunity to win with a clean sheet attached.

Prediction: Nigeria win to nil

The Pharaohs are well aware that they cannot afford to drop any points in this clash in Garoua, as it could pose a problem for their qualification prospects.

One peculiar thing to both Egypt and Guinea-Bissau is that they are both on scoreless streaks, the latter in five matches, the former in three games. With this in mind, both sides not finding the back of the net on Saturday night will be a very likely outcome.
