FRSC convicts 45 traffic offenders for overloading, more

A Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) mobile court in Asaba has convicted some offenders for traffic violations.

Vanguard reports that these offences include  drivers’ license violation, driving without seat belts, overloading, failure to install speed limiting device and others.

The conviction was done by the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) mobile court, presided by Magistrate Victoria Ghomorai.

Apart from the convictions, the mobile court also discharged three and remanded two in custody.

Motorists have been advised to install the speed limiting device, and obey traffic rules in order to avoid getting arrested or convicted.

In related news, FRSC officials  have been ordered to suspend the booking of offenders for fire extinguisher, light and caution sign violations.

This was announced by the Deputy Corps Marshal, Mr. Ojeme I. Ewhrudjakpor.
