For the young and trendy Nigerian, the use of Twitter seems to have permanently switched from being a social networking medium to a dating site and that's just so... peng.
When asked about finding love on the Internet, some young Nigerians talk aboutTwitter as the social app changing the dating scene, and how the some of the best love stories told in recent times seem to have Twitter as their opening scene.
There is so much love in the servers that power that app that you could get the love of your life on the network, and if you were wrong the first time, you can go back and try again... and yet again.
"I've met everybody these days on Twitter." says one of the guys in a clip about love and social media published by Zikoko .
He adds, "I met my girlfriend [and two other exes] on Twitter."
This app, unlike Tinder which is seen as more of a hooker network by Nigerians, has linked so many young guys and babes seeking love and hoping to set P.
If you do not know, 'Setting P' is a hip slang used in reference to the Nigerian guy/girl relationship dynamic... , it is the "process whereby you set a trap for the P."
