The most coveted seed accelerator in the world is coming to Nigeria

Michael Siber and Qasar Younis, both of whom are partners at Y Combinator, will visit Nigeria between September 23 and 27 as part of an 11-country tour.

If you are familiar with the Nigerian startup scene, you should be able to know that quite a number of startups  like Shypmate, Paystack, Tress, Kuhustle and Flutterwave have made it into the most celebrated and coveted seed accelerator in the world, Y Combinator.

In 2016, around three out of every ten startups in the summer batch came from outside the United States. Osarumen of TechCabal reckons that is a signal that the partners at Y Combinator have seen the value that international communities hold, and they plan to tap into it.

To that end, Michael Siebel and Qasar Younis, both of whom are partners at Y Combinator, will visit Nigeria between September 23 and 27 as part of an 11-country tour, to meet and fund the best startups they can find.

When Siebel and Younis visit Lagos and Abuja, they will appear at OIIE's StartUp Friday, participate in a fireside chat with OO Nwonye's TechCircle, and two office hour sessions.

As such, if you are a startup founder, ready your pitch deck, prepare yourself and visit the Y Combinator blog for more information and register to pitch for and, if possible, get selected by the most coveted seed accelerator in the land.
