A move, Graylaw Solicitors, alleged to have scuttled investigations into the matter.

"Surprisingly, instead of allowing the FCIID to carry out their investigation to conclusion, you decided to scuttle same by ordering DIG Dagala to stop investigation forthwith and forward the file of Senator Uba to your office,” the group said in a letter to IGP Idris.

"Following the receipt of the letter written by your office, the investigation ceased and Senator Uba stopped honouring police invitations. You also retrieved all the case files and investigation reports relating to Senator Uba's case,” the letter added.
