Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has arrived in Maiduguri on Thursday, June 8, 2017, hours after terrorists killed 17 people & injured 24 in the Borno state capital.

According to his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, he is expected to launch the special intervention relief plan for Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs.
He was welcomed by Borno governor Kashim Shettima; Adamawa governor, Jibrilla Bindow; the Deputy Governor of Yobe state, Abubakar Aliyu, as well as several top government officials.
