Nene-Uwa Hub Ltd in partnership with TVP Adventures and other tourism and environmental enthusiasts would be partaking in a special Beach clean-up & tree planting event to commemorate World Tourism Day 2017.

There will also be a photo contest where participants would be required to share photos taken at a Nigerian tourist site they visited with a caption of less than 50 words.
The event themed "Sustainable Tourism- A Tool for Development" will take place at Point of No Return, Badagry Slave Trade, Badagry, Lagos on Saturday, September 30, 2017.
As one of Nigeria's prominent tourism landmarks, this beach is the ideal location to carry out a campaign for sustainable tourism with an idea to create awareness on the benefits of being eco-friendly and helping to sustain tourist destinations.
On the day of the event, 40 tourism and environmental enthusiasts will join Badagry local residents to clean up the beach and also planting coconut trees along the shoreline as a way of leaving footprints of impact.
There will also be a photo contest where participants would be required to share photos taken of them at a Nigerian tourist site they have visited with a caption story of less than 50 words on how they can be a better and responsible traveler using the following hashtags: #TravelEnjoyRespect #IY2017 #NaijaWTDPhotoContest #NeneUwa.
The three (3) winners of the photo contest would not only win an ALL inclusive local tour package from our various sponsors, but their pictures would also be used to make post cards to celebrate World Post Day on October 9th, 2017.
