Watch Omoni Oboli, Sola Sobowale, Chigurl, Odunlade Adekola and Toyin Aimakhu in the 1st trailer for "Wives on Strike: The Revolution."

The film is written, produced and directed by Omoni Oboli. “Wives on Strike: The Revolution” will be released in cinemas on December 29, 2017.

After losing a member to domestic violence, a group of market women decide to take matters into their hands against their husbands in a bid to stir them into standing up for other victims.

"Wives on Strike: The Revolution" stars Omoni Oboli, Sola Sobowale, Uche Jombo, Kenneth Okonkwo, Chioma Akpotha, Odunlade Adekola, Toyin Abraham, Julius Agwu, Afeez Oyetoro, Ufuoma Mcdermott, Sani Danja, Elvina Ibru, Chigurl and Emeka Okoye.

The original film grossed 71 million naira, and is currently the 6th highest grossing Nollywood movie ever.

"Wives on Strike" is a gift that keeps on giving," Oboli said during an interview with Pulse Nigeria.

A TV series titled"Wives on Strike The Series"is also in the works.
