Watch singer fall down at AFRIMA 2017

Seyi Shay sure got people talking as she fell on the stage while performing at the just concluded AFRIMMA awards.

The embarrassing incident occurred on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the Eko Convention Center of the EkoHotels and Suites, in Lagos.

Seyi Shay was performing her hit song "Yolo Yolo" and was looking really great in her outfit and her choreographers when she tried to do a spin and well it didn't go as planned, she fell really hard.

Seyi Shay wasn't moved as she stood up and continued with her performance which ended quite well. This is not the first time an artist would be performing and having a mishap.

The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMMA) 2017 edition which was well attended saw a lot of musicians carting away a number of awards.

Among those who were awarded on the night include Simi who won "Songwriter of The Year" at the 2017 All Africa Music Awards,. The Nigerian singer won the award for her single ‘Smile’ at the ceremony. Ycee emerged as "The Best African Hip Hop Artist" for 2017.

The biggest winner of the Night was Wizkid who went home with "The Song of The Year Award," "Artist of TheYear Award" and also won "The Best Western African Act" (Male). His hit song "Come Closer" earned him the "Song of The Year Award". The song ‘Come closer’ was released as the third single from Wizkid's third studio album, “Sounds from the Other Side.”

The single peaked at number 58 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Wizkid's first charting single as a lead artist. The song also peaked at number 54 on the Canadian Hot 100.
