Youth International Makes Big Career Move, Swapping Ligue 1 for the Premier League
The French youth international had been with Monaco since 2021, steadily progressing through their ranks to the senior squad. Last season, he featured in 25 competitive matches.
"I was thrilled to learn of Newcastle's interest in me. I can't wait to step onto the pitch and I believe we'll share some great times with the fans. This new league will test me; it's the biggest competition in the world.
I learned a lot last season and I feel ready for this new opportunity. I'll give my all for this club," AFP quoted Newcastle's latest acquisition as saying.
According to media reports, the transfer fee for Bambu is estimated to be around 35 million euros, with Monaco also set to receive a percentage of any future sale. This marks Newcastle's fourth summer signing, following the arrivals of goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen, midfielder Sean Steur, and winger Bazoumana Toure.
