He's been rightly dubbed Barcelona's wonderkid. Lamine Yamal has once again made history, becoming the youngest player to reach 100 appearances in La Liga for the Blaugrana.
The young Blaugrana star shattered this record at just 18 years and 272 days old, during the derby against Espanyol, a match his team won 4-1 at Camp Nou.
Yamal, in fact, surpassed the previous record held by Bojan Krkic, who reached 100 appearances at 20 years and 203 days old. He also outranked Gavi, Lionel Messi, and Pedri among the top five youngest players to achieve this milestone.
Beyond appearances, Yamal is now the second-highest scorer among Barcelona's youngest players after their first 100 La Liga games. With 29 goals in his first hundred outings, only Messi, who netted 48, boasts a better record.
