Governor Yahaya Bello has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the November 16 governorship election in Kogi state.

Out of 3,596 delegates that participated in the primary which held in Lokoja on Thursday, August 29, 2019, the governor secured 3, 127 votes.
