His team, playing in front of their home crowd, managed to overcome the Red Star Belgrade challenge, setting up a decisive clash with Monaco for a spot in the EuroLeague Final Four.
Following the game, the Spanish strategist analyzed the key factors behind the victory, placing particular emphasis on his team's defensive solidity.
"I'm extremely happy with the win in front of our fans; I thank them. It was a great game, especially defensively. Although we didn't control the defensive rebound well, everything else clicked. Our transition defense was good. Overall, our defense was excellent. We weren't as offensive in the second half, but that's how the game goes. The important thing is that we stayed focused. I hope this won't be the last EuroLeague game Palau sees this season," Pascual stated.
The atmosphere at "Palau Blaugrana" was electric, and Pascual took the opportunity to once again thank the club's supporters.
"Once again, we must congratulate and thank the fans for all the support they always give us. It was fantastic; they helped us immensely. I had the impression that the crowd truly enjoyed the team's play and felt very connected to all the players."
One of the game's pivotal moments was Will Clyburn's incredible shooting streak, as he relentlessly rained down shots from long range on the Belgrade basket from the very start.
"We started with an exceptionally high shooting percentage, seven out of nine from three-point range in the first quarter, which is a truly massive number. When Clyburn gets into that kind of rhythm, you have to capitalize on it, and the team recognized that very well," concluded the Spanish expert.
