Barcelona midfield maestro, Xavi Hernandez has agreed a move to Qatari outfit Al Sadd at the end of the current season.
According to reports from Spain, the Barcelona legend will sign a three-year-deal with the club, bringing an end to his stay at the boyhood club.
35-year-old Xavi is set to receive a salary of $10.8 million and will study for his coaching licences during his time in Qatar at the Aspire Academy, the reports say.
The World Cup winner will reportedly earn another $10.8 m if he chose to stay for another one year after his three-year-contract and will also act as an adviser to to the Aspire Academy.
Regarded as one of the greatest mid-fielders of the game, Xavi came through the famed Barcelona academy, La Masia and went onto contribute in the rise of tiki-taka, with which the Catalan based club ruled and dominated club football for years.
