The World Rally Championship has confirmed an ambitious 15-round calendar for the 2027 season. The major highlights of the revamped schedule include the long-awaited returns of the United States and the United Kingdom, alongside the debut of Rally Italy on the roads surrounding Rome.

Approved by the FIA World Motor Sport Council, the schedule blends established classics with key strategic destinations as the championship enters a new era under the WRC27 technical regulations.

Headlining the additions is Rally USA, scheduled for August 26–29, marking the championship's first visit to American soil since 1988. The return forms a cornerstone of the WRC's global expansion strategy, unlocking vital commercial opportunities in one of the world's largest automotive and motorsport markets while providing a major platform for manufacturers like Ford, broadcasters, and US fans alike.

The United Kingdom also makes its first appearance on the WRC calendar since 2019 with Rally Scotland, scheduled for September 30 to October 3. Run in partnership with Motorsport UK and backed by the Scottish Government alongside local authorities, the Aberdeen-based event will showcase the region's iconic forest stages to a global audience.

The calendar also welcomes Rally Italy from July 8 to 11. Having established itself in the FIA European Rally Championship, the tarmac-based Rally di Roma Capitale will bring the action to Rome and the demanding, technical stages of the surrounding Lazio region.

The championship retains its traditional cornerstones, kicking off with Rallye Monte-Carlo from January 21 to 24, followed by Sweden and Kenya. A trio of consecutive tarmac events in Croatia, the Canary Islands, and Japan will precede Greece's EKO Acropolis Rally, which opens the summer European gravel swing.

High-speed fixtures in Estonia and Finland follow, continuing to deliver fast-paced action. A South American double-header features rounds in Paraguay and Chile before the season wraps up with Rally Saudi Arabia on November 25–28.

The 2027 campaign will also usher in the new WRC27 technical regulations, designed to reduce costs, expand grid sizes, and create fresh opportunities for automotive manufacturers and independent constructors alike.

WRC Promoter CEO Eric Boullier said:

"The 2027 season marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the World Rally Championship. This calendar reflects our ambition to build a stronger, more accessible, and truly global championship. Returning to the US and the UK, alongside the inclusion of an iconic destination like Rome, unlocks massive opportunities for our partners, manufacturers, and fans. Combined with the new technical regulations, we have a unique opportunity to shape the future of the sport, attract new investment, and bring rallying to even more people worldwide."
