The dinner came after earlier putting on a show of unity against Vladimir Putin's recent military aggression in the Baltics. Obama held the White House state dinner honoring the leaders of Sweden, Iceland, Finland, Denmark and Norway.

In attendance also were Will Ferrell, Bellamy Young, David Letterman, Miranda Kerr, Tracee Ellis Ross, Janelle Monae, Jidenna, Allison Williams and actor-comedian Aziz Ansari and many more. Michelle Obama dazzled in a Naeem Khan off the shoulder gown and finished her look with gold jewelry and a wispy chignon as the guests arrived.

The First Lady decided to feature a different designer from any of the five countries represented, as she opted for the Indian designer.
