Goalkeepers

Theophilus Afelokhai: With the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) over, the Enyimba goalkeeper was not in action over the weekend. Afelokhai was called in to replace Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper Francis Uzoho who has been ruled out of the South Africa clash with injury.

Ikechukwu Ezenwa: The Enyimba goalkeeper was also not in action over the weekend.

Daniel Akpeyi: The Chippa United goalkeeper was not in action over the weekend.

Defenders

William Troost-Ekong: Troost-Ekong was busy on Sunday as he played 90 minutes for Udinese in their 0-1 home loss to AC Milan.

Leon Balogun: Nigerian defender Balogun was on the bench all through as Brighton were beaten 3-1 at Everton.

Kenneth Omeruo: Omeruo played 90 minutes as Leganes held AtleticoMadrid to a 1-1 draw.

Brian Idowu: Nigerian fullback Idowu played the whole 90 minutes as Lokomotiv Moscow beat Arsenal Tula 3-1 in the Russian Premier League.

Olamilekan Adeleye: The FC IfeanyiUbah defender was not in action over the weekend.

Semi Ajayi: Nigerian defender Semi Ajayi was on from start to finish for Rotherham United who came back from a goal down to beat Swansea City 2-1.

Jamilu Collins: Super Eagles left-back Jamilu Collins played 79 minutes in Paderborn's away 0-2 loss at Duisburg.

Ola Aina: Aina continued his good form with an assist in Torino’s 4-1 away win over Sampdoria on Sunday. That was his 10th game for the Serie A side since he joined them on loan from Chelsea in the summer.

Midfielders

John Ogu: Ogu played 90 minutes and helped Hapoel Beer-Sheva to 2-1 win over Hapoel Tel-Aviv.

Mikel Agu: Agu was in action for Vitoria de Setubal who were beaten 1-2 at home by Braga. That was the midfielder’s fourth league appearance of the season.

Oghenekaro Etebo: Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo got a rare start for Stoke City in their home goalless draw against Middlesbrough.

Forwards

Odion Ighalo: Ighalo failed to continue with his goalscoring form as Changchun Yatai were beaten 2-0 away at Shandong Luneng.

Ahmed Musa: Super Eagles forward Musa was a second half substitute for Al Nassr who were beaten 2-0 at home by Al Ahli.

Victor Osimhen: Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen played the who 90 minutes but could not get on the scoresheet as Sporting Charleroi were beaten 2-1 away at Oostende.

Alex Iwobi: Iwobi was an instant impact for Arsenal over the weekend as he got an assist after coming in the 68th minute of their 1-1 home draw against .

Kelechi Iheanacho: Nigerian forward Iheanacho was on the bench all through as Leicester City got a 1-0 win away at Cardiff.

Samuel Kalu: Forward Kalu was not even listed when Bordeaux travelled to Lyon where they got a 1-1 draw in Ligue 1.

Isaac Success: Isaac Success’ good form so far this season earned him a start in Watford’s trip to Newcastle United although he couldn’t stop the Hornets from losing at the Saint James Park  1-0

Moses Simon: Simon was not in action for Levante over the weekend.

Samuel Chukwueze: Super Eagles new boy Samuel Chukwueze played the whole 90 minutes for Villareal in their 1-1 home draw against Levante.
