Vinicius to Old Acquaintance: "I'm Going to Kill You!"

Spanish media are highlighting a new conflict involving Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior. This time, the Brazilian exchanged unpleasant words with his old acquaintance, Mallorca defender Pablo Maffeo. This incident occurred during the weekend match between the two teams, which saw the Balearic Islands side win 2-1.

The feud between the two dates back to previous seasons. The Argentine defender from the Balearic Islands team had previously made a provocative statement, claiming he could knock out Vinicius in just 10 seconds. Furthermore, during their February 2023 encounter, he mimicked crying towards his opponent. The Brazilian, in turn, has often retaliated to Maffeo's provocations whenever the two teams have met. According to Maffeo, in one of their previous matches, Vinicius told him that Mallorca would be relegated, with remarks like: "You're going home! You're going home! You're terrible!"

This conflict continued last weekend, with the Argentine making a hand gesture during their very first challenge, seemingly implying, "you're talking again," after protests from the Brazilian. In the next instance, Vinicius responded by nutmegging the Mallorca player, accompanied by a smile, while the stands booed him.

A little later, Vinicius dodged a kick from Maffeo and, after the attack concluded, sought an explanation from his opponent. Pablo pointed his finger at him, and the Brazilian reportedly said, "I'm going to kill you."

Following another protest from Vinicius, the Mallorca player pushed the Real Madrid winger, asking, "What's wrong with you?" an action that earned him a yellow card after the Brazilian's insistence. "Don't be so annoying. You're a crybaby," Maffeo reportedly told the Brazilian after being sanctioned.

Cameras from the show "El Día Después" captured the defender making a hand gesture, forming a ball, and telling him, according to the TV channel, "beach ball" (in reference to chants of "Vinicius, beach ball" after he didn't win the Ballon d'Or, which went to Rodri).

"Beach ball... yes. You're doing it to get on TV. You'll definitely be on TV," Vinicius retorted with a laugh. The latest episode in the feud between the Brazilian and Maffeo concluded with air kisses from the Mallorca defender towards the Real Madrid player.
