Super Eagles number one goalkeeper and captain Vincent Enyeama has shunned the Nigeria Football Federation's summon to appear before the disciplinary committee.
The 32-year-old tore up a which was related to his uncomplimentary statement about the security of Kaduna where the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Chad was played.
Though the Lille of France goalkeeper has a written an apology letter to the NFF, he was summoned before the disciplinary committee on Tuesday, June 23, or risk being sanctioned.
Enyeama could face a lengthy ban after he refused to attend the hearing on Tuesday.
His national team coach, Stephen Keshi however attended but refused to comment on why his captain did not make it.
"No I am not aware. I only know about my own invitation," Keshi said told newsmen after his hearing.
"You can ask the NFF officials they should be able to tell you."
