NFF say Super Eagles captain was invited for hearing

The Nigeria Football Federation have refuted claims by Super Eagles captain Vincent Enyeama that he did not receive any invitation to appear before the disciplinary committee of the football governing body.

The NFF however described the claims as untrue.

When Pulse Sports reached out to NFF spokesperson Ademola Olajire, he said: "Vincent Enyeama was sent an invitation by the NFF though the proper channel we usually communicate with him with."

Olajire also told Pulse Sports that a decision will be reached soon on the matter.

Vincent Enyeama in an Instagram post this morning continued to apologise for the uncomplimentary comments he made about the safety of Kaduna which hosted Super Eagles 2017 African Nations qualifiers against Chad.

The Lille of France goalkeeper apologised to anybody who was offended by his comments including the governor of the state, Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai.
