Nigeria internationals make African Player of the Year nominations list

Nigeria internationals Vincent Enyeama and Ahmed Musa have been nominated for the African Player of the Year award.

The duo make the 37-man list which include winner of the  past four African Footballer of the Year awards, Yaya Toure.

Enyeama and Musa are hoping to become the first Nigerian winner since Kanu Nwankwo who won the award in 1999.

Toure first won the gong in 2011 and has since got his hands on it every year after that, with the former Barcelona man likely to be a favourite again this year.

Other popular players in the list include,  Andre Ayew, Aymen Abdennour, Riyad Mahrez, Rudy Gestede, Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
