Italian goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has bid an emotional farewell to Tottenham Hotspur fans following his move to Juventus. The Turin giants announced they have finalized Vicario's acquisition on an initial loan deal with a non-obligatory option to buy for 8 million euros, plus up to 2 million euros in additional bonuses.

The 29-year-old shot-stopper joins the Italian club as a replacement for Michele Di Gregorio, who is no longer in head coach Luciano Spalletti's plans after a series of unconvincing performances over the past two seasons.

Guglielmo Vicario spent the last three years at English club Tottenham in the Premier League, where he made 93 top-flight appearances, 117 across all competitions, and won the Europa League in the 2024/2025 season.

“Dear Tottenham fans... where do I even begin?! Thank you is the first word that comes to mind. You made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Playing in the Premier League for a big club has always been my dream, and for that, Tottenham will forever hold a special place in my heart and memories,” Vicario wrote in his farewell message to the Spurs faithful. “A huge thank you to the club, all the staff, and all the teammates I played with over these years. Winning the Europa League and the joy we brought to our fans is a memory that will never fade and something I will forever be proud of. Good luck for what looks like a very exciting season... and once again – thank you,” the player added.
