The undisputed star and hero of the match was Valencia's incredible point guard, Jean Montero. The Dominican Republic international delivered a season-best performance, recording a brutal all-around stat line: 24 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, four steals, and one block.

Montero received significant support from forward Cameron Taylor, who contributed 13 points, while guard Brancou Badio added 11. Center Matt Costello finished the game with nine points and six rebounds. On the opposing side, Joventut's efforts were led in vain by former NBA stars – point guard Ricky Rubio with 17 points and power forward Jabari Parker, who tallied 15.

Joventut managed to keep pace with the favored visitors for an extended period, maintaining a tight contest, but the decisive moment arrived late in the third quarter. Valencia shifted into high gear, unleashing a 16-0 run to establish a significant lead they never relinquished.

The Badalona club attempted several times to threaten and close the gap in a dramatic finish, but the team in orange jerseys repelled every surge. Matt Costello definitively sealed the game with a three-pointer 70 seconds before the final buzzer.
