Umar Sadiq's brace fires Almeria to crucial victory in Spain
Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq is in serious form after another match-winning display for Almeria in the La Liga Smartbank.
Sadiq netted a brace to inspire the promotion chasing side to an important 2-1 win over CD Mirandes at home on Sunday night.
Both goals were scored in the space of three second half minutes to seal all three points and a third consecutive win for the club.
The goals were also Sadiq's fourth in his last three starts for the club since his return from AFCON 2021 duties for Nigeria in Cameroon.
With both goals, the 25-year-old giant striker takes his tally for the season to 12 goals and 6 assists in 23 matches this season.
Sadiq was on the pitch for 82 minutes before he was substituted.
He will be looking to add to that when Almeria hosts Fuenlabrada next in the League on Friday.
