In her second octagon appearance, Pereira returned to winning ways with a stunning second-round knockout against Hailey Cowan. As the round neared its end, Pereira landed a knee flush to Cowan's chin, sending her unconscious to the canvas. Up until the knockout, the fight had been competitive, with both bantamweight contenders having their moments on the feet, and Cowan successfully slowing Pereira's pace with her grappling. However, the decisive moment arrived at 4:24 of the second round when Pereira finished Cowan with the knee.

“I’m real, bitches,” Pereira declared. “I’m real! I’m so real! Dana, I love money, I love fights,” the recently turned 20-year-old Pereira stated after the bout.

This marked Pereira's first UFC victory after a disappointing debut where she lost via split decision to Montserrat Rendon. With this win, Pereira now holds a professional record of 7 wins and 1 loss. Her incredible knockout also earned her a $100,000 bonus.
