Two masterminds face-to-face: Jokić and Dončić delight fans with hilarious reaction after fierce collision! /VIDEO/

Beyond the Nuggets' convincing victory and another display of wizardry from the Serbian center, the undisputed highlight of the clash in Colorado came during a drive by the Lakers' superstar.

On one offensive sequence, Luka Dončić blew past Christian Braun at the perimeter before meeting Nikola Jokić at the rim. The Serbian center stood his ground trying to draw a charge, leading to heavy contact that sent Jokić sprawling to the hardwood. However, the referees called a blocking foul on Jokić as Dončić converted an off-balance bucket on his way down.

Following the whistle came a moment to remember — both players paused on the floor, locking eyes in a mock "staredown" before breaking character and bursting into laughter:

Nikola Jokić saw extended action for the first time this preseason, logging over 30 minutes on the floor. He wrapped up preparations for the regular season in signature fashion — posting 17 points, eight assists, and six rebounds, delivering several trademark dimes that will certainly give Oklahoma City's coaching staff plenty to think about ahead of their season opener.

On the other side, Luka Dončić did all his work in the first half. In 19 minutes of action, he tallied 15 points, four rebounds, and two assists before sitting out the remainder of the contest.

Alongside Jokić, Jamal Murray paced Denver's winning effort with 21 points and six assists, Christian Braun chipped in 17 points, eight assists, and six rebounds, newcomer DeMar DeRozan added 14 points and five assists, while backup center Marvin Bagley contributed 13 points and eight rebounds.
