The interest of top clubs in Diego Moreira is hardly news. The Portuguese-Belgian winger has been shining at Strasbourg, enjoying another stellar season with 4 goals and 7 assists in 33 appearances across all competitions in 2025/26.
According to German Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, a German powerhouse is keen on signing the winger this summer. Borussia Dortmund has the 21-year-old firmly on their radar and aims to pair him with Fábio Silva.
The same source indicates that the Portuguese forward's team is prepared to offer between €30 million and €40 million, but the deal is not expected to be straightforward. The player is under contract until June 2029, and Chelsea holds a financially favorable buy-back option. In 2023, Diego Moreira left Benfica on a free transfer, with the Blues initially loaning him to Lyon before selling him to Strasbourg for €8.5 million.
Despite being sidelined with an injury since early March, Diego Moreira is expected to return to action soon. He hopes to help his team secure a spot in next season's European competitions and contend for the UEFA Conference League (facing Mainz in the quarter-finals) and the French Cup (Nice in the semi-finals).
