FRSC deploys over 3,000 personnel to Jos highways
According to Mr Oludare Fadogba, the Commanding Officer, these officials are to ensure free flow of traffic during the sallah celebrations.
"We have deployed our personnel and materials for the 2016 Eid-el-Fitri special patrol in strategic routes within the various commands and sectors of our zone.
The special marshals and road safety clubs have also been mobilised to support our men for the special patrol.
Our road clinics and zebra points will remain open during the celebration. Our patrol vehicles, ambulances and motorcycles are to be on routes heading to every praying ground to ensure free flow of traffic during the celebration," he said.
The zonal commander urged all road users to obey traffic rules and regulations.
"I want to particularly call on drivers of Opel Vectra and Sharon to avoid reckless driving, speeding, wrongful overtaking and overloading,’’ he added.
This announcement was made, during a visit to the Jos zonal office of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
