September 2026 brought significant momentum across Portuguese football's digital landscape. Torreense emerged as one of the standout performers, pairing historic European success with major infrastructure announcements to boost Liga 2's profile, alongside strong digital gains from FC Porto and Famalicão.
In Torres Vedras, two major milestones dominated the headlines: the club's first-ever European victory, secured away in Norway, and the unveiling of their new stadium project. This winning formula translated directly into social media success. Torreense wrapped up the month with 141,744 followers across the five monitored networks (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube), gaining 9,617 users (+7.28%), according to Futebol e Negócios and data gathered by Radar Digital.
On Instagram, content related to the Oeste side generated 289,066 interactions—a 117.6% surge compared to August. The ripple effect reached well beyond national borders: UEFA's post celebrating the historic win registered 63,035 interactions, while the club's own full-time result post notched 33,980. Four days later, the stadium reveal drew another 23,944 interactions. Across the entire Segunda Liga, Torreense accounted for roughly 40% of the division's total follower growth, with the median engagement per post jumping 41.3% (from 757 to 1,069.5) across a sample of 100 monitored posts.
