Wilder is set to step into the ring this Saturday night against Derek Chisora, who outweighs him by a staggering eighteen kilograms. The heavyweight will need to keep his focus, as just days before the clash, his former stepson, Kerron Swift, came forward with serious allegations against the boxer, as reported by the Daily Mail.

According to Swift, the top boxer allegedly engaged in years of abuse, even when Swift was a minor. The son of Wilder's former fiancée, Telli Swift, has filed a civil lawsuit citing assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment.

Swift Feared for His Life, He Claims

One of the shocking accusations in the complaint details an alleged incident from 2022, where the boxer reportedly grabbed Swift – then only 16 years old – by the throat, lifted him into the air, slammed him against a wall, and then threw him onto a table. In the complaint, Swift states he believed he was going to die.

Another accusation concerns an incident in 2019, where Wilder allegedly struck the then thirteen-year-old Swift with a belt and forcefully shoved him into a car. Swift claims to have suffered physical injuries and long-term emotional trauma from the alleged abuse, perpetrated by a man described as possessing 'extraordinary physical strength.'

Wilder's Lawyer Responds

Wilder's attorney, whose client faces Chisora in London this Saturday night, has dismissed the allegations as 'false' and finds the timing of the lawsuit 'suspicious.' "It is abundantly clear that this lawsuit and its timing are orchestrated and intentionally designed to embarrass Mr. Wilder. He is known as a loving and caring father who would never physically discipline his own children or the children of others. We look forward to defending this matter in court," Wilder's attorney stated.
