Nigerians react to ex-militant’s failure to appear in court

The court had recently issued a final warning to Tompolo to which he responded saying he hadn’t received any summons.

Former militant, Government “Tompolo” Ekpemupolo, today, January 14, 2016, refused to appear before a Federal High Court in Lagos to face charges of fraud levelled against him.

The court had recently issued a final warning to Tompolo to which he responded saying he hadn’t received any summons.

He is being investigated along with former Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Patrick Akpobolokemi forlaundering billions of naira from the agency’s coffers.
