The Assemblies of God World Missions (AGWM) says four of its pastors from the Monrovia district of Liberia and several church members have been reportedly killed by the deadly Ebola virus ravaging the country.
To help fight the disease, the AGWM reportedly sent funds to assist struggling areas in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.
According to the missionaries, the fear of Ebola has prompted many people to turn to God and Missionaries are requesting prayer that believers will be empowered to boldly share Christ with those who are seeking hope.
Greg Mundis, AGWM executive director said:
Regarded as one of the largest Ebola outbreak in history, the World Health Organization reported that Ebola virus has so far infected about 3,500 people and claimed the lives of more than 1,900 in West Africa.
