Defender extends contract with HJK Helsinki

Former Super Eagles defender Taye Taiwo has extended his contract with Finland club, HJK Helsinki.

The left-back joined HJK Helsinki in August after he was released by Turkey side, Bursaspor .

A clause was inserted in initial contract which states that his contract will be extended by another season if he impressed.

After an impressive two months in Finland, the club have decided to extend his stay.

The 30-year-old has played for the likes of Marseilles, Queens Park Rangers, and AC Milan.

He has more than 50 caps for Nigeria, appearing in one FIFA World Cup.
