Tammy who was given birth to by Nigerian parents made the decision to represent England ahead of Nigeria even after President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick offered him a slot to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The 20-year-old was in good from for Swansea and was invited for England’s warm up games against Germany and Brazil in November 2018.
He was given a start in his debut game against Germanyand was introduced in the 75 minute against Brazil.
The youngsters form has dropped and was not included in Gareth Southgate’s 27 man list for the upcoming friendlies against Italy and Netherlands in March.
Tammy however was among the 26 players Aidy Boothroyd called by England for their Euro under 21 qualifiers against Romania and Ukraine.
Other players of Nigerian descent called up by England include Ademola Lookman, Ovie Ejaria, Dominic Solanke and Josh Onomah
Tammy and his under 21 teammates will play Romania on Saturday, 24 March and later play Ukraine on Tuesday, March 27.
