Taiwo Awoniyi names Okocha and Ndidi in his fantasy Nigerian Premier League squad
Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has named two Nigerian stars amongst the best players to have ever played in the English Premier League.
Former Bolton Wanderers midfielder Austin Jay-Jay Okocha and current Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi were the two players favoured by the Nottingham Forest new signing.
Awoniyi recently returned to the Premier League with newly-promoted Nottingham Forest after failing to make the cut at Liverpool in his first stint in England.
Taiwo Awoniyi picks Wilfred Ndidi as best African player to play with
Having made his debut and scored his first goal in the Premier League, Awoniyi revealed his thoughts about some of the best Nigerian players in the Premier League.

In an interview with Supersport, the Nottingham Forest forward mentioned Leicester City anchorman Ndidi as the best African player he has either played with or against.
Awoniyi said: "For me, I will pick Wilfred Ndidi that plays for Leicester. He is (sic) my teammate in the youth and looking at what he is doing for Leicester City for a while, I will pick him as the best."
Taiwo Awoniyi dreams to play with Okocha
When asked to choose one African player he wished he could have played with in the Premier League, Taiwo Awoniyi plumped for former Super Eagles and Bolton Wanderers star, Okocha.
The 25-year-old Ilorin-born striker explained that he watched YouTube videos of Okocha during his playing days including his famous goal against Oliver Kahn which he was showed when he played for Union Berlin in Germany.
"For sure I will pick Jay-Jay Okocha. Had it been he's still able to play because he is one of the best players in the world for me," Awoniyi posited.
"I watched his clips on YouTube and when I was in Germany, they showed me the goals he scored in Germany against Oliver Kahn I think. And of course, everyone knows Jay-Jay Okocha in Nigeria."
Awoniyi scored his first goal in the Premier League in a 1-0 victory over West Ham United at the Nottingham Forest City Ground stadium.
The Nigerian international will hope to add to his goal tally when his side visit defending champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, August 31.
