Fran Halsall has withdrawn from the FINA World Championships in Doha with a shoulder injury.

The 24-year-old Briton had already earned a silver medal in the 4x50 metres medley relay in Qatar on Thursday.

However, she will take no further part in the short-course competition as a precautionary measure.
"Sprinter Fran Halsall withdraws as a precaution from the World Championships following a minor shoulder issue...get well soon Fran," British Swimming posted on its official Twitter account.
The official FINA Doha 2014 account also wished Halsall well in her recovery, writing: "Get well soon Fran Halsall. It's been great watching you compete in Doha."
Halsall was hoping to build on her success from the European Championships in August, when she won three gold medals in Berlin.
