The Super Falcons of Nigeria, on Saturday, March 14 trashed female clubside The Confluence Queens by three goals to nothing in a friendly played in Abuja.

The friendly was played ahead of their final round of the All African Games qualifying series.

Ngozi Ebere opened the flood gate of goals when she converted a penalty kick in the 27th minute after Francisca Ordega was fouled in the box.

The Confluence Queens came up strongly at the start of the second half but it was the Falcons who scored the second goal in the 70th when Francisca Ordega collected a pass from Ugo Njoku to slot in and England import Iniabasi Umotong completed the rout with a cool finish in the 90th minute.

Super Falcons coach Edwin Okon expressed satisfaction with the score line but stated that the team lacked cohesion. “We need more of this kind of games to correct the flaws in the team.
