Super Eagles coach  Sunday Oliseh made the news this morning in Tanzania for failing to appear for the official press conference ahead of the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Tanzania.

The Tanzania Football Federation fixed the pre-match press conference at 11am Tanzania time (9am in Nigeria) but Oliseh was no show.

Oliseh has however revealed that he wasn't aware of the conference.

"Let's not create any issue out of this. We didn't know about that conference. We are enjoying our stay here so far," Oliseh said.

"The Tanzanian people have been good to us so we can't disrespect them. If we knew about it we would have been there."

The Super Eagles of Nigeria this afternoon finalised their preparation for the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Tanzania.

Sunday Oliseh and his men had the official training at the National Stadium by 4.30pm on Friday, September (Nigerian time 2.3pm).

The team arrived the city of Dar es Salaam in the early hours of Friday via a chartered flight.

The chartered ARIK Air Boeing 737-800 aicraft arrived at the Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam at 11.56pm Tanzania time (9.56pm Nigeria time).

The three –time champions of Africa, are staying at the posh Hyatt Regency Hotel – which is generally regarded as the best hotel in Tanzania.

In another related news, Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun is a doubt for the game after sitting out training due to an unknown injury.
