The Nigerian Senior national team lead by coach Gernot Rohr and secretary Dayo Enebi settled for the Sanatorium Mashuk Aqua-Therm Resort based in Pyatigorsk, South Russia.

Super Eagles' manager, Gernot Rohr had initially hinted that the team would get a training base camp not far from the location of their first round of matches at the World Cup 2018.

The Super Eagles were placed in Group D alongside Argentina, Croatia and Iceland at the World Cup Draw held in Moscow on Saturday.

The Eagles are expected to use the training camp as the base from which they will leave for their group games. Due to Russia’s sheer size, there is a possibility that they may need to change camps if they progress through the latter stages of the competition.

NFF President, Amaju Pinnick has said that the governing body will provide all that the team needs to help them secure a strong finish at the World Cup.

The plans and funding for their preparation have already been set in motion.

Asides the largesse provided by the Confederation of African Football, the NFF is also expected to release more funding to facilitate preparation.
