Ademola Lookman continues hot streak in Atalanta, Udinese 4-goal thriller
Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has sustained his new-found momentum for Atalanta in the Italian Serie A with another goal.
The Nigeria international was on the scoresheet for the second game in a row as Atalanta and Udinese clashed in a battle of the Top 4 on Sunday afternoon at the Dacia Arena.
Lookman scored the second goal of the match as Udinese came back from two goals down to grab a 2-2 draw as both sides shared the points on Matchday 9 of the Serie A.
Ademola Lookman, Luis Muriel score for Atalanta
Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini partnered Colombian striker Luis Muriel with Lookman as a striking pair in a 3-5-2 formation while Udinese chose to start Nigerian pair Kingsley Ehizibue and Isaac Success on the bench.
Unbeaten so far this season, Atalanta took the lead as Lookman finished off a Muriel assist in the 36th minute to momentarily take Atalanta top of the table.
Muriel doubled Atalanta's lead from the penalty spot in the 56th minute as the pair of Muriel and Lookman continued to show good chemistry leading the line for Gasperini's side.
The pair of Lookman and Muriel were taken off in the 65th minute, replaced by Ruslan Malinovskyi and Rasmus Hojlund respectively.
Udinese built on the departure of both strikers to launch an offensive against Atalanta as Gerard Deulofeu immediately halved the deficit for the home side in the 67th minute before Neheun Perez grabbed the equaliser 11 minutes later.
