Super Eagles defender Balogun is not here for Blac Chyna's bleaching products

Blac Chyna who is an American celebrity stated that she is due in Nigeria to market her range of beauty products.

Nigerian social media users sparked in outrage after a message marketing her products and visit stated that the products will be available for sale in Nigeria at exorbitant prices.

Skincare among women has always been a debatable issue and Balogun has stated his support of maintaining natural skin care.

The Brighton & Hove Albion defender who was in action representing his country for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa has sent a strong message airing his views on the issue.

A poster circulating on social media said, "Going to Nigeria, oh great, what are you going to do there?

"Promote a skin whitening, product so i can make money from preying on the insecurities of colorism and self hate.

"Ahh and you thought we would be quiet about it?"

Balogun responded to the viral post with a message preaching to Nigerians to embrace their colour.

He said on his official Twitter account, "Shoutout to @chakabars for drawing attention ✊  Lagos, DO NOT support @BLACCHYNA & her nonsense.

"They only want to make profit on a false beauty ideal that is forced upon You. You are beautiful the way You are. Black is beautiful. Wear Your skin like a crown #LoveYourMelanin"

"Embrace who you are, Kings and Queens."

Other Nigerian celebrities have come out to support Balogun and his claim encouraging Nigerians to embrace their natural skin.

Balogun who has returned to England will hope to be in action when Brighton and Hove Albion take on his compatriots Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho's Leicester City in their next Premier League encounter scheduled for Saturday, November 24.
