Former Nigerian midfielder reveals he funded Dream Team during Atlanta 96

Oliseh was part of the team that made history as the first African team to win gold in the football event of the Olympic Games.
In a recent interview, Oliseh revealed that he had to support his teammates with his own money due financial difficulties in camp.
“The Olympics were so difficult and it was at that time I started funding the team. Nigeria went there with no funds and I had to give my credit card to rent buses for us to go for training; there were so many sacrifices made but at the end of the day it was the most prized medal I ever won as a footballer,” Oliseh said in an interview with .
The current Nigeria U-23 team to the forthcoming Olympic Games in Rio have also been rumored to be bailed out by a senior member, John Obi Mikel.
Several reports from Nigerian media on Thursday, July 28 say that he donated N11m ($30,000) to the team after joined the squad at their camp in Atlanta, United States.
The midfielder however denied the reports saying; "I don't know the source of this story which to me is all out to divide us as a team. I would have thought that stories that should be coming out in the media are stories that will unite the team instead of dividing us.”
