The 26-year-old Haiti international initially joined the Black Cats in the summer of 2024 on loan from Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg. In February 2025, Sunderland activated his €6 million buyout clause, securing his services permanently.

Since then, Isidor has become a pivotal figure for the North East outfit, making 82 appearances and netting 19 goals. Last season in the Premier League, he contributed 6 goals, helping Régis Le Bris's side secure a historic qualification for the Europa League.

The forward also boasts 7 caps for the Haitian national team. He featured in three matches at the World Cup earlier this summer, even scoring in their 2-4 group stage loss to Morocco.

On Friday, Sunderland will discover their opponents for the Europa League group stage. This marks only the club's second appearance in European competition and their first since the distant 1973/74 season.
