After robbing the man, the robbers shot at him several times and left him for death, after carting away the money he had withdrawn.

The incident happened in front of a new generation bank along Bode Thomas Road, Surulere, Lagos State, where the man had gone with his family to withdraw some money.

Unknown to him, the robbers who must have trailed him to the bank, were waiting outside for him and as he drove out of the bank, they struck and attacked him.

An eyewitness who saw what transpired wrote on Instablog:

"The robbers were four in number and came in two 'Okadas' (motorcycles). They fired four times and it is unknown how many shots hit the man. He has been rushed to the hospital and he is in critical condition."
