Striker’s brace sends MFM FC top of table, Shooting Stars beat Rangers

Lukman Mohammed went close for Rivers United in the 20th minute before MFM FC got a penalty after Sikiru Olatubosun was fouled in the box by Rivers United captain Festus Austine.
Odey stepped up to convert the penalty.
Rivers United got back in the game through a fine goal by Emeka Ogbugh in the 32nd minute.
Ogbugh finished nicely to level scores after a fine play by Rivers United.
MFM FC got another penalty again in the 46th minute of the first half after Shola Brossa was brought down in the Rivers United box.
Odey converted again to net his second of the day and his 12th of the season.
In Ibadan, Shooting Stars beat reigning NPFL champions, Enugu Rangers 1-0.
Rangers had an opportunity to score the first goal of the game but Godwin Aguda missed a penalty in the 89th minute.
Bode Daniel turned up late to net the winning goal.
