‘I almost went to prison for this case’ — Nollywood actor fumes after Regina Daniels' return to Ned Nwoko’s house

Stanley, who had publicly supported Regina during her highly publicised marital crisis with the Delta North senator, said he was disappointed that he was not informed about the reported reconciliation.

The actor took to his Instagram page to share his frustration, saying he was unhappy about being left out of any developments regarding the situation after lending his voice to Regina during the difficult period.

He revealed that he had fought so hard for the actress during the misunderstanding that he almost ended up in prison.

“I almost went to prison because of this case. They were looking for me to arrest me. I know that you guys have been waiting for my video, asking me if it’s true that Regina Daniels has gone back to Ned Nwoko, and asking if I am aware.”

Stanley also said the people he brought into the matter were unhappy with the latest development, with some accusing him of involving them in the family dispute based on his assurance that Regina would not return to the senator.

“Here is my story because I am very angry, and all the activists I brought into this matter are angry with me because I gave her my word that she is not going back to that house. Now, all of them are calling me, telling me that I should see what I brought them into. I almost went to prison because of this case. I was the one who posted the first video where they were harassing Regina in Ned’s house.”

Stanley questioned the explanation that Regina only returned to the house to see her children, insisting that her relaxed demeanour in the viral video made him doubt the claim.

“Let us say you didn’t go there to stay but to see your children, and you were that relaxed? I am concerned about your children and want you to see your kids, but you went there without telling any of us. I’m very close to this family, and they didn’t tell me. Now I look like a fool. I am annoyed. I couldn’t sleep last night; in fact, I cried.”

The actor recalled the extent of his involvement in the saga and said he had stood by Regina even when members of her family faced trouble during the crisis.

“Do you know what I did? Now they are dragging you, and they are dragging me. I was here for you even when they discreetly took Sammy to prison; I was the one who knew. This is the last time I will render my help to any husband-and-wife case. I am now the bad person.”

Stanley became one of the prominent voices around Regina’s marital crisis after the actress and Ned’s relationship became a subject of intense public scrutiny.

Regina and Ned married in 2019 and have two sons, Munir and Khalifa. Their relationship came under renewed public attention in 2025 after Regina made allegations of domestic violence, while Ned denied the claims and accused her of substance abuse. Both sides later made further allegations and denials as the dispute moved into legal territory.

The dispute also extended to the couple’s children, with court proceedings concerning custody and access. Regina had previously spoken publicly about being separated from her children, while Ned’s camp denied that she was being prevented from seeing them.
