Spain international eyes Premier League exit as Barcelona and Real Madrid monitor situation
Pedro Porro is keen on leaving Tottenham to return to La Liga, with Barcelona and Real Madrid already showing interest in the right-back. According to reports in the Spanish media, the defender is open to returning to his homeland as early as the January transfer window, despite signing a contract extension with the north London club until 2031 during the summer.
Porro has established himself as a key figure for Tottenham, but the start of the current campaign has been disrupted by fitness issues. The Spain international has missed several matches, and his condition has also affected his recent national team call-ups. His lucrative new deal makes him one of the top earners at Spurs, adding further complications to any potential transfer.
Barcelona view Porro as a strong candidate to bolster the right side of their defence, though any concrete move would require the Camp Nou hierarchy to part ways with Jules Kounde first. Real Madrid are also keeping a close eye on the situation, having previously tried to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2019 when he played for Girona. The defender eventually joined Manchester City before continuing his career at Sporting CP and Tottenham.
