Solution Proposed for Hamilton and Ferrari's Communication Struggles

British racing driver Stefan Wilson has suggested a solution to the ongoing communication struggles between Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari, which were once again evident during the Singapore Grand Prix.

According to Wilson, a four-time Indy 500 competitor, the Scuderia need to bring in an English-speaking engineer to work with Hamilton, arguing that the language barrier remains a genuine obstacle. He even floated the idea of Rob Smedley, Felipe Massa's former race engineer, making a comeback to partner Hamilton, though such a reunion appears highly unlikely.

"You know what I’d love to see happen? Rob Smedley back at Ferrari working with Hamilton. I think too much is being lost in translation right now, the chemistry just isn't there, expecting things to improve from here is unrealistic, getting the best out of Lewis has to be the priority," Wilson wrote.

Hamilton worked with Riccardo Adami during his debut campaign at Ferrari, but communication proved particularly challenging. As a result, the seven-time world champion was paired with a new race engineer, Carlo Santi, at the start of the current season. Despite clear improvements, there are still instances where the lack of complete synergy between the two is noticeable.
