The Singapore Grand Prix is becoming one of the most unpredictable fixtures on the Formula 1 calendar, with the last seven visits to Marina Bay producing seven different winners.

This streak began in 2018 with a victory for Lewis Hamilton, followed a year later by Sebastian Vettel triumphing for the fifth time under the Southeast Asian floodlights. That proved to be the final Formula 1 win of the German driver's career.

Formula 1 missed Singapore in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Sergio Perez claimed victory when the race returned. In 2023, the Singapore Grand Prix was the sole event Red Bull failed to win, with Ferrari's Carlos Sainz taking top honours. Following triumphs at Marina Bay for Lando Norris and George Russell, Max Verstappen claimed victory last night to secure his maiden Singapore Grand Prix win.

Vettel remains the most successful driver in the history of the event with five victories, claimed in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2019. Hamilton follows closely with four wins (2009, 2014, 2017, and 2018), while Fernando Alonso is the only other multiple winner in Singapore, having topped the podium in 2008 and 2010. In 2016, Nico Rosberg triumphed at Marina Bay in what was his penultimate victory on his way to the World Championship title.
