65mins: Seychelles coming at Nigeria with pace, Awaziem does well to get the ball and passes to Onazi who is fouled. Awaziem gets down injured.

63mins: Change for Nigeria: Etebo comes in for Iheanacho

62mins: Another chance for Seychelles. Seychelles No 10 gets on the ball after a miskick by Omeruo and plays the ball over an onrushing Nigerian goalkeeper Uzoho but the effort goes wide.

59mins: Seychelles get a chance in the box but the effort is wide for a goal kick.

58mins: Yellow card for Iheanacho for retaliating a foul on a Seychelles player.  Seychelles make their first substituition.

56mins: Odion Ighalo scores from the spot

Penalty to Super Eagles as Samuel Kalu is felled in the Seychelles box.

55mins: Musa's weak left foot effort is kept out by the Seychelles goalkeeper.

54mins: The Super Eagles looking comfortable but Seychelles are trying to hit back with counter attacks. They have had some situations where they try to outrun the Super Eagles defence.

45mins: Seychelles breaks on a counter but Omeruo stops the attack. Corner for Seychelles, it's played shortly and Seychelles player caught offside.

44mins: Omeruo gets the first yellow card of the game after pushing a Seychelles forward. The freekick is easily defended by the Super Eagles.

It's all Super Eagles at this point. Seychelles can't out together passes and not troubling the Super Eagles defence.

Awaziem scores for Nigeria. The defender reacts quick to a rebound after an Iheanacho freekick had hit the post.

Ahmed Musa gives Nigeria the lead with a rasping shot which went off the Seychelles goalkeeper into the net.

07mins: Seychelles defending in number while Nigeria attack. Awaziem is set up on the right but his cross goes off for a goalkick. Iheanacho gets a chance to shoot in the box but his shot is blocked.

03mins: The Super Eagles clearly on the front foot as Nigeria try to get an early lead. The stadium is scantly, Nigerian journalist Debola Adebanjo tweeted two hours before the game that there was just about 30 people in the stadium.

Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr has dumped the three-man defence he used mostly at the World Cup for the four-man defence.

Kenneth Omeruo partners Leon Balogun in central defence while Chidozie Awaziem and Bryan Idowu are the fullbacks.

Ogenyi Onazi returns to the Super Eagles starting for the first time since Nigeria’s 1-2 loss to England in a 2018 World Cup warm-up game.

Samuel Kalu starts as he is set to make his debut for Nigeria while Ahmed Musa is captain of the team.
